TUP partners with DOST-NCR to drive innovation in Muntinlupa

The Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) joined forces with the Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) and key stakeholders in a Reverse Pitching event aimed at shaping Muntinlupa City's Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Plan on June 21, 2024.
 

This collaboration is part of the DOST iSTART Program, a nationwide initiative to empower local governments through science and technology.

TUP and representatives from DOST research institutes, academic institutions, and sectoral councils presented innovative solutions and insights to address Muntinlupa's specific needs and priorities. The STI Plan will serve as a roadmap for strategic investments in science and technology, ultimately driving economic growth and enhancing the quality of life in the city.

TUP's Participation:

TUP's delegation included Engr. Hero De Guzman, Director of ITSO/TLO and CITE; Asst. Prof. Olivia Oliva, Special Assistant to the Vice President for Research and Extension; and Assoc. Prof. Aimee Acoba, CIT Head, and Research Coordinator. Their expertise and insights contributed significantly to the development of the LGU STI Plan.
