TUP-Manila organizes R&E Agenda, Collaborative Leadership Meeting

The Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Manila, through the Office of the Vice-President for Research Extension (OVPRE), organized the Research & Extension (R&E) Agenda meeting at the IRTC lounge, on June 4, 2024.
 

This strategic gathering brought together key leaders and stakeholders to align the college's R&E agenda with TUP Manila's broader goals and disseminate critical updates to foster impactful research initiatives.

Esteemed deans from various colleges, despite their busy schedules, lent their invaluable expertise and insights to the discussions:

  • Dr. Joshua Soriano (College of Science)
  • Prof. Elpidio Virrey (College of Industrial Technology)
  • Dr. Apollo Portez (College of Industrial Education)
  • Dr. Michael Baluyot (College of Liberal Arts)

This collaborative effort was spearheaded by Engr. Hero de Guzman (OIC-Director for TLO/ ITSO & CITE), Engr. Benedicto Fortaleza (UES Director), Dr. Redentor Janaban (UES Faculty), and Dr. Francisco Esponilla II (URDS Director), whose leadership ensured the success of the meeting.
 

Discussions centered on aligning college-specific R&E initiatives with TUP Manila's overarching goals, identifying key areas for collaboration, and addressing any challenges hindering progress. The meeting also served as a platform to share important updates on funding opportunities, research grants, and upcoming conferences.
 

TUP Manila remains steadfast in its dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and research. This collaborative meeting demonstrates the institution's ongoing efforts to empower faculty and students to engage in impactful research and extension initiatives that address real-world challenges.
