The Technological University of the Philippines Cavite (TUP Cavite) held a highly successful Research & Extension Forum on June 7, 2024, bringing together faculty, alumni, student leaders, and TUP Cavite officials in a collaborative effort to advance research and strengthen community engagement.
 

Organized by TUPC Research and Extension, the forum served as a critical platform for aligning the university's research and extension agenda and manuals with the broader TUP system's goals. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions and information sharing, laying the groundwork for impactful research projects that address real-world challenges and contribute to the community's well-being.

Key outcomes of the forum included:

• Clearer alignment of research priorities: The forum facilitated in-depth discussions around TUP Cavite's research agenda and its alignment with the broader TUP system, ensuring a cohesive and impactful research strategy.
• Enhanced collaboration: The event fostered networking and collaboration among faculty, alumni, and students, sparking new ideas and potential research partnerships.

Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Francisco Esponilla II (URDS Director), Engr. Benedicto Fortaleza (UES Director), Engr. Hero De Guzman (ITSO/TLO Director & TUP CITE Head) and Dr. Hasmin T. Ignacio (Vice-President for Research and Extension) shared their expertise and provided valuable guidance to the participants. Extension Heads of TUP Manila also contributed their insights, enriching the discussions with diverse perspectives.
