The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) concluded its three-day Research and Innovation Competitiveness Summit, focusing on equipping State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) with the tools and strategies needed to excel in the Industry 4.0 era. The summit, held from June 25-27 at Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay, aligned with the key themes of the Platform for Innovating SUCs for Industry 4.0 (PISI).
The summit aimed to empower SUCs to address critical challenges, unlock new opportunities, enhance research productivity, foster regional specialization, align academic research with industry needs, and shape actionable policy recommendations for a robust research and innovation ecosystem.
The Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), represented by Dr. Hasmin T. Ignacio, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Francisco Esponilla II, URDS Director; and Engr. Hero De Guzman, OIC Director ITSO/TLO and Head of CITE demonstrated its commitment to advancing research and innovation aligned with Industry 4.0 standards.
