The Technological University of the Philippines participated in the College School Fair of the City of Mandaluyong last December 10, 2022 from 8 am to 12 noon with the theme – “One on One para sa inyong Kinabukasan”. The purpose of the said activity is to support the graduating senior high school students of Mandaluyong City to look for possible colleges and universities that will offer the relevant course offerings that will secure their future and career.
The Office of Councilor Benjamin A. Abalos III with the support of the Honorable Benjamin S. Abalos and the City Mayor Carmelita A. Abalos spearheaded the project with the collaboration with the Schools Division office of the city.
Thirty-three (33) schools participated with 2 SUC – Rizal Technological University and Technological University of the Philippines Manila. The rest of the 31 schools are privately owned like UST, JRU and others. Dr. Werson De Asis of the Admissions Office and Prof. Enrico S. Lucena, RGC of the Guidance and Testing Office accommodated approximately 100 senior high school students.
Possible incoming college applicants should have good/high grades and aligned senior high school tracks STEM for engineering courses, food technology, information technology, etc. The Technological University of the Philippines has no tuition fee, no miscellaneous fee and no admission fee as part of the UNIFAST mandate for SUC’s and LUC’s.
Dr. Rosemarie Cruz – University Registrar and Dr. Margaret Aquino- Dean of the Office of Student Affairs were instrumental in the participation of TUP Manila as part of the College School Fair of the City of Mandaluyong.
