Goal 1

Provide quality and responsive academic programs relevant to the needs of the time integrating values on lasting peace and the rule of law, integrity in governance, environment protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as other thrusts in the national agenda.

Goal 2

Build a pool of highly qualified, competent and multi-skilled faculty and staff to produce globally competitive graduates who are expected to contribute to rapid and sustained economic growth of the country.

Goal 3

Upgrade physical plant and facilities for effective and efficient delivery of services taking into account transparency, integrity and accountability.

Goal 4

Provide relevant extension programs in technology, technology education and livelihood skills towards poverty reduction and empowerment of the poor and marginalized sectors of society.

Goal 5

Conduct researches on technology and technology education and related fields that shall contribute to the enhancement of the quality of life, sustainable economic growth, environment protection and climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Goal 6

Implement an aggressive, efficient and effective management and administration of organizational resources and processes through transparent, accountable and participatory governance.

Goal 7

Formulate and implement viable/relevant production activities/business ventures including technology transfer and commercialization using the University's available human/material resources that will generate income to support instruction, research and extension programs.

Goal 1: Quality and responsive academic programs relevant to the needs of the time.

17 passers out of 21 takers in the Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination, April 2012 80.95 Passing Rate, Top 3 Best Performing School, 2 examinees among the 7 highest places. Over performance due to massive promotional campaign in different high schools, website and alumni Linkages.
71 passers out of 77 takers in the Electronics Technician Licensure Examination, April 2012 92.21% Passing Rate, Top1 Best Performing School, 24 examinees among the 7 highest places Additional technician graduates from TUP Visayas and the ETEEAP program
63.64% of the takers passed in the Master Electrician Examination in April 2012 2 examinees among the 7 highest places  
50.00% of the takers passed in the master Plumber Examination in February, 2012 Passing rate higher than the national passing of only 37.56% Quality instruction, relevant academic programs and massive review classes for examinees are salient factors that widely contributed to the success of TUP examinees in the licensure examinations.

  1. Review and upgrading of Curricular offerings
All TUP enrollees, industry partners and stake holders and other clientele 10 Bachelors Degree programs and 1 Masters Degree Program were upgraded with the approval from CHED Office of Program and Standards (OPS). The periodic review of the relevance of curricular programs is in response to the needs of multi-skilled work force of various industries locally and internationally as reflected in researches conducted by the TUP curriculum planners
  Bachelor of Technology, major in Mechatronics Technology is a new curricular program which incorporates the four areas of engineering-Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Computer  
  1. Accreditation programs
All TUP enrollees, industry partners and stake holders and other clientele 33 out of 44 academic programs offered in the 4 campuses are now Accredited: 10 level III accredited 1 qualified for level III accreditation, 6 level II re-accredited, 5 level I accredited and 11 candidates for accreditation. The TUP academic panel is working closely on the accreditation of the remaining 11 unaccredited programs TUP conscientiously subjects itself to Program Accreditation to ensure its commitment to provide the highest possible quality services to all its stakeholders
  1. Student Development
TUP students and their parents and the community and society where graduates will be deployed As of February 2, 2012, TUP has successfully deployed 133 SIT students in 7 batches for their industrial training in various companies in Malaysia, free of charge with an allowance of 15,000.00.

There is a total of 1,528 scholars in TUP sponsored by TUP, government and non-government agencies, industry partners and private citizens

Regular student development activities are conducted relevant to leadership training, socialization, community immersion, emergency preparedness, physical and spiritual well-being, environment protection and climate change adaptation/mitigation.

Student development is paramount to TUP to prepare them to communities where they will serve. In view of this, current societal needs national agenda are made integral part in the student development plan of all colleges and campuses.

Faculty members, students, stake holders and other clientele 218 faculty members are currently pursuing advanced degrees.

28 faculty members have graduated either in master's or doctoral degrees.

Personnel audit was conducted this year to assess the relevance of faculty and staff's educational profile to their respective designations and/or teaching loads and realignment/vertical articulation was implemented
  1. Competency and skills upgrading
Faculty members, students, stake holders and other clientele A total of 436 and 119 faculty and staff have attended in local and national in-service trainings respectively TUP faculty and staff are continuously trained for them to cope up with current curricular changes in collaboration with the national agenda particularly the implementation of the k-12 program
    Three (3) and (1) faculty members were speakers/presenters in local and national conferences respectively  
    Team building activities were organized both for faculty and administrative staff as year-end activities  
    Summer Skills Enhancement Training and Assessment for New Tech-Voc Teacher was conducted in TUP on May 24, 2012 This project was in support of the Strengthened Tech-Voc Education Program of DepEd.
    A 3-day live-out seminar on National Capability Enhancement Training in the Successful Program Implementation of NSTP in the HEIs was conducted in TUP on July 18-19, 2012 There is a continuous need of capability enhancement training among NSTP implementers and trainers to keep them abreast with current issues and national agenda.
  1. Values education and development
Faculty and staff members and their respective families along with communities they serve National Seminar-Workshop on Gender and Development Thrusts on the 21st Century was held in TUP on July 25-26, 2012 Gender, issues and concerns were threshed out in this seminar-workshop to promote better working relationships among TUP faculty and staff.
    Seminar on Work Attitudes and values Enhancement (WAVE) for the 154 newly hired faculty members, held on February 28, 2012 This is a live-in seminar wherein participants had a chance to know one another as new members of the TUP family

Undergraduate employees of AMKOR and ANALOG Devices Samsung-SemPhil. 172 of these employees have graduated in Bachelor of Engineering and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology by availing the Industry-based academic programs of TUP-Taguig This extension project brings TUP expertise to its partner industries to assist in the upgrading of the educational profile of the employees thereby strengthening linkages with industries. The project translates considerable income for TUP from the tuition fees of the employee students.
  1. TUP-Lopez Quezon Consortium Project
Students in Lopez Quezon and nearby communities The TUP satellite campus in Lopez, Quezon has opened classes in June 19, 2012. More improvements have to be done so this is an on-going project This project is in response to the national agenda on poverty reduction and empowerment of the poor through equal access to quality education.
  1. Cuenca, Batangas extension project
Students of Cuenca Batangas and nearby communities Computer Hardware Repair Course has been opened this June in the TUP satellite school in Cuenca Batangas. This extension project aims to transfer TUP's expertise in technology to remote areas to alleviate the lives of the poor in these communities.

TUP Employees On-going program The TUP Cooperative caters for the financial needs of its members with a capital asset of around P20,000,000.
